Preliminary Ratings: Sunday 09/10/2017

The Sunday preliminary ratings were released and NBC had an east time winning the night, averaging over 19 million viewers, and a 7.0 rating in Adults 18-49. SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL drew 21.6 million viewers, along with a 8.0 rating n the demo, to be the #1 show of the night.

FOX was second, with its NFL overrun game and THE OT in the 7 PM hour, delivering a sizable audience for the season premiere of THE ORVILLE, the first new series of the 2017-18 season. The Sci-fi pilot only held about 50% of its lead in, holding onto 7.3 million viewers and a 2.3 rating in the A18-49 demographic.

ABC's coverage of the 2018 MISS AMERICA pageant was good enough to stay ahead of CBS, bringing in 5.6 million viewers and a 1.2 demo rating. Fo CBS, BIG Brother stayed on track with its season average of a 1.9 demo rating and 6.5 million total viewers.
