Final Broadcast Ratings: April 18, 2018

NBC tops CBS for first on Wednesday night, sweeping the four reported categories. THE VOICE was the most watched show of the night, but did lose to SURVIVOR in the demographic ratings, to place third in the hour.

FOX had the top demographic program of the night, as EMPIRE edges SURVIVOR in the A18-49 demo and dominates the younger, A18-34 demo. STAR falls to second place, in the 9 PM hour, behind LAW & ORDER: SVU.

ABC had three of its five series in encores, pushing it down to fourth on the night. In original episode, ALEX INC. and DESIGNATED SURVIVOR finish fourth and last, in their respective time slots.

For the CW, the season premiere of THE ORIGINALS greatly improved the 9 PM slot, holding its RIVERDALE lead in.
